I like to pay tribute to my football team mates and coaches of 71. Together we trained, played and won silverware. Without them I would not be able to receive my winner’s medal on the podium. Gone are 40 years, ironically this is the only winner’s medal I collected.

陈俊华 Hard tackling left side defender, a nightmare to any right winger.

林文庆师 Jose Mourinho Senior, football was his passion, believed the game should be played beautifully , always favored 4-2-4 formation
苏快乐 Better known as “Surkano”, good passer at the right , delivered inch perfect crosses
张诗敏 Captain and our pillar of defence. Strong character. One man, one club & one woman.
林兴德 Towering striker , out jumped any defender and score with header, not with the hand of God
张荣宗 No1 stopper, his safe pair of hands and heroic saves helped us went deep in the tournament
陈达钦 Second in pecking order to 张荣宗, whenever he played , fans also adored him by his resemblance to 姜大卫
-师弟- Forgot you name, warmed the bench most of the season, but committed to the game
梅国辉 Marshal of centre defence with outstanding position play and game reading.
陈美生师 Should be Technical Director of football if there was such a post in CLHS. A respectful figure , never interfered with team selection. Quotable quote from him : Do not hold MCE cert in one hand and set one foot in your grave. Now I understand what he was trying to tell us … “take care of your health” otherwise“ 钱在银行， 人在天堂 ”

Salute! After so many years your memories are still so vivid. Those youthful years must have casted a very strong impression on you.
ReplyDeleteThe memory chips in my brain do work well any more, need to do some home work to prepare the post. One medal in 40 years , or rather the whole life is something to remember.
